windows 2003 server domain problem - 2007/04/14 06:35 i have a windows 2003 server as a domain controller and 10 windows xp as clients. they all work in a domain. there is a shared drive in domain controller which is mapped to all client computers. the problem is. after some time when a user try to access mapped drive its asking to re enter the id and password again. and when enter the id amd password it show something like multi session not allowed please disconnect and re connect all the connection. . then i remove the client from the domain and re join the domain again. it works fine. but again after sometime same problem. does any body know the solution.
the company has heavy machinery so there is a light fluctuation when the machine is on. but they are using ups with all the computers and switches. it may be due to light fluctuation. i m not sure but may be the client disconnecting from the server and the session doesnot expire on the server. i ping DC from client during fluctuation and didnt find any problem, its pinging fine.

Helpful Tips

Found this out a while ago, its quite good after using some memory eating software or something else that seems to make your computer go slow after running it.

Goto Start -> Run -> type "Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks"

It will run for a bit then your computer should run alot faster.

I also made a batch file for it.

just goto notepad and create a file and call it something.bat

Enter the following text into it and save.

@echo off
echo All Idle Processes Are Currently Being Processed.
echo Please Wait....
Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks
cls
echo All Idle Processes Have Been Processed.
pause
